I photographed Pat at her show of portraits and cadavers at the Ace Gallery in Los Angeles. Pat started her career at Vogue Magazine in New York and then joined Glamour magazine as their travel editor. In this capacity she went on a trip with David Bailey, the quintessential 60's photographer, to Japan, the Ivory Coast, Spain, Portugal and Paris. While in Japan David took her to the Nikkon factory where she bought a camera and two lenses. Every evening he gave her lessons and she was hooked. Pat has been working on the Art World series for the last few years and some of the artists she has photographed are in her new book Fame and Frame: A Collection of Stories and Photos of my Career.
